VECP stands for Value Engineering Change Proposal and the basic concept is to take something and streamline it while retaining the utility and mission readiness. The George Knives VECP project goal was to take the design of the full Les George Customs Rockeye folder model and streamline the manufacturing to create a utilitarian version that was more obtainable to users than Les's full customs. The result is a superbly designed, tough as nails folder. Built in the same shop and with the same attention to detail as Les George's full customs, the only difference is that the VECP blades are machine ground rather than hand ground.

The Galvo has similar handle to the award winning V14 dagger. The blade is shortened to maximize ease of carry. 3/16 thick without the bulk of handles to make sure it rides easy and is there when you need it.

The Talos. The Talos is similar in size to the legendary VECP folder, but has more radial design elements. The blade is given a upper swedge grind for a spearpoint tip profile. The George Knives Talos project goal was to take a design similar to the of the full Les George Customs FM-1 folder model and streamline the manufacturing to create a utilitarian version that was more obtainable to users than Les's full customs. The result is a superbly designed, tough as nails folder. Built in the same shop and with the same attention to detail as Les George's full customs, the only difference is that the Talos blades are machine ground rather than hand ground. The final bevel and fitting is still done one at a time by Les.

So that crafty Les George takes the crazy popular VECP model, kept the width dimensions, and then reduced the length to create the small pit-bull of a knife known now as the ESV. The ESV allows a smaller knife to still retain a great handle filling grip for real work. The frame is set up with satin standoffs and a lanyard hole. If you live in a restrictive environment, or if you just want to roll with a smaller knife that can still do "big knife" work, the ESV fits the bill!
